This month, it will be 4 years since I started this personal blog, in which I decided to share experiences. In hindsight, I am proud to continue making this effort to take the time to meditate, feel, and write. Enjoying like this, something that I have been passionate about for as long as I can remember.
I celebrate every thought I’ve shared and also, those I’ve preserved with me. Likewise, I celebrate and thank those who have come here to read and be part of this space.
However, the context of this occasion is different, since we are experiencing a pandemic. Something never before seen in my generation or that of my parents, at least not of this magnitude.
It is a situation for which no one was prepared. Each one bears it… or rather, survives it in their own way, as possible. For my part, fortunately, I had the opportunity to visit my family. Enjoy time with them and be at home. In a way, this helped me return to the city and resume my activities with a different attitude. More optimistic, calmer and also, happy.
To this day I described myself as one of those active people, who exercise, like outdoor activities and so on. But what if you can’t do any of this? Especially the part of being outside. That’s when the challenge of finding tranquility begins. Not only peace inside your house, but within your mind too.
We all react differently, but often we could think: «I can’t stay at home 24/7», but deep down, we recognize that we can. It’s surely not something we long for or get very excited about.
For now, being at home is one of the most important preventive measures. Consequently, we become increasingly resourceful with work and/or recreational activities. We discover and invent ways to organize ourselves, to workout at home or to entertain ourselves. How to cook, read, write, paint, etc.
Let’s remember that it is not just a matter of creativity, it is also of serenity and of the mindset with which we accept the challenge. That in the end, it’s about taking care of our health.
If you are going through difficult times, don’t give up.
You will get over this, we all will overcome it.
Do not forget that there’s always a solution, although at times, it seems the opposite.
Trust, breathe and accept the moments of despair too. It is normal not to feel happy all the time. It is also valid to express anxiety, stress or any other sensation that your body needs to release.
We are not perfect, we are human.
At best, we can only wait. Calmly, without focusing on the negative or the actual number of restrictions. We can always see the glass as half full.
Today I celebrate that I am healthy, that my family is well and my loved ones are safe and taking care of themselves. I’m thankful for another year of writing. For recognizing that there is always something to ponder on and share. The possibilities are endless.
From home, I celebrate 4 years sharing experiences on this blog.
Without a doubt, there will be much more to tell.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for sharing.
