«I am not doing anything (of value) with my life.»

Have you ever thought about it?

Today I want to tell you that you are not the only person who has felt this way. Although if this is not something that you have ever wondered, then you can stop reading this post. But if like me, you suddenly wonder if you are doing the right thing, in that case, I invite you to reflect with me a little on that thought.

Most of us, at least once, question whether we are really doing what we «should» do with our time to make the most of it. However, just asking yourself that question shows that you are aware of your actions. Right there is your answer. Indeed, you are concerned about what you do in your life and how you spend your time. Therefore, you take advantage of your present.

Wondering is fine. Working on your goals is perfect. Questioning yourself if you are doing the right thing is more than fine. What is not right is to torture yourself with those questions.

Remember that as human beings we have limited control of our environment. There are many, many factors that we cannot influence. Which requires acceptance and a lot of patience.

Besides work or your personal finances, you should also work on yourself. In taking care of your emotional and physical health.

To this day, with all that we have experienced, it is not fair to ask ourselves, «Am I doing enough?» And I say that it is not fair, because you have tried to survive and overcome this pandemic. A challenge that has not been easy and that has not yet come to an end. Nor is it that we have solved all that issue just by having a vaccine. There are those who lost their family, friends and loved ones. For that pain, there’s still no cure…

There is nothing more important than your health and well-being. The rest comes later. Therefore, I ask that just as I try, you also try to be patient with yourself.

Take a moment to reflect and say “Yes, if I do enough. Yes, I do what I can”. This pandemic has influenced us all. So many areas have been affected that it will definitely take time for us to return to the routine.

Today through these words, I confirm that you are doing your part, as far as possible. You do the right thing, don’t forget it! We are all trying to cope with these changes that have fallen like an avalanche on our shoulders.

Do not forget that there is someone else who is also going through the same thing as you. Today, I feel like you. I also wonder if I’m doing the right thing, if I’m doing enough … (and the answer is yes).

Do not give up. Let’s do our best to keep going, to take care of yourself and to take care of those around you.

With so much uncertainty, it is better to go slowly. We do what we can.
We go one day at a time.
