This is the continuation of a letter that has already been sent.

It is for a person who has been present in my life for years, with whom I have shared many moments. Someone who I love, admire and appreciate. Someone who does not give up and still has a lot to live.

These days have been a bit difficult. This person has received one of those news that reaches the heart like a bullet, those that do not give us much time to react. Those that sometimes carry the heading: Cancer. The damn cancer.

Today I am writing your second letter:

This is for you. I recently told you that I do not know how you feel. I try. I imagine it, but not with certainty.

We have this concept that life is ephemeral, that there is only one, that it is fast, that we have nothing assured. That we have to wake up every day as if it were the last. Live, do what we like, enjoy the present, with its ups and downs.

But still, in the opposite way, we leave everything for tomorrow, for next year, for later… when all the conditions are propitious.

But you do not. You have done what you are passionate about, you have followed your dreams, you have dedicated time to yourself, to your peace. You have shared a lot, as if each time, it was a different presentation, a new scenario.

You have a very beautiful family. In my opinion, more than one. You traveled, you have grown, you go, you come back and you share.

Keep it up. Do not stop. We have a long way to go, and still many experiences to share.

It seems as if we’re reading one of the last chapters of the book. The closer you get to the end, the less you want to read. You do not want the story to end and you start to see word for word. You feel somehow nostalgic.

Then, without really thinking about it, you discover that history has a sequel. So we can continue reading calmly because there is a continuation. The next story will be better. With more characters, more photographs, more music, with more feelings and with more anecdotes to invent. With more rehearsals, with more lessons, with more memories.

This story is still going. Your book has a continuation. We are just living a chapter with a dramatic turn. A few pages that give a 360 degree turn to the plan we had already drawn. It’s like a challenge for the main character. When they realize they’re stronger than what everyone had thought, when they remember all those who are there to support and will be there to give them hope, courage, or whatever this character may need along the way.

Remember that we can invent, add and modify the characters. We are rewriting the original story, but we still have many pending chapters.

Yes you can. Yes you can. Yes you can.

I am here for you. We are here to support you, to sustain you, to give you strength, hope… to hold you always.

Remember: you are light and you are energy.

Let’s go slow. One chapter at a time. Writing together.

This letter is because of you, it is for you.

There is a continuation.

Fuck Cancer!
