I appreciate the invitation to contribute to this blog.

It is always a commitment when receiving such an invitation, to write and share. Since it challenges from the search of the subject to the transmission of the idea itself. So, I hope you have patience.

I must confess that I am really happy and always try to maintain that state, but the month of October had a particular charm. The reason? Well, because I reached the goal of graduating from the University of Sonora in my second degree, in this case, of Lawyer; and yes, it may seem simple, but at age 54 it is not the same as at age 18 … Responsibilities vary, and in a significant way.

The house, work, children, and all of that which we are adding to the backpack of life, that suddenly we forget the importance of our own formation. And that is the key, continuous education. Whatever the path, we must always keep it in mind and procure it.

It is a tool that allows you to grow as a person, meet new people, get out of the routine, set new goals and all this generates small challenges every day, which in short time, become important actions. After some other courses or a master’s degree, imagine again saying that you graduated from the University.

And while the daily work is important, as the continuous formation and likewise, it is the spiritual part. That we found in Art…

The less fortunate, we must be satisfied with perceiving it with all our  senses, and the most artistic ones, with creating it. In both cases, the benefit is great, so give yourself time and listen to music, but live! Go to the theater, look for a museum and not only contemplate the work that already will be wonderful, investigate who it is and why. All this will lead you to experience differently and even on another level. But above all, it will make you a better person and those close to you will also feel happy about it. At the end of the day, that’s what it is all about, happiness, right?

And to reflect this, here is a very fun and accurate animated short film, by Daniel Martínez Lara & Rafa Cano Méndez.
